ADVANCE TAKES the lead when it comes to enterprise and supplier development.
Advance Corporate Advisors is one of the few consultancies to have a deep understanding of many different industries and how their unique supply chains work. We are one of the foremost and most experienced B-BBEE consulting houses, having been in business since 2006. Finally, Advance Corporate Advisors has managed many ESD projects in the implementation phase, in addition to the original scoping phase of each project.
During 2014/2015, Advance ran a supplier development programme for Sishen Iron Ore Company (“SIOC/Kumba”) a mining house, and a member of the Anglo American group of companies, wherein 25 local suppliers were mentored. Advance Corporate Advisors also ran a Supplier and Enterprise Development project for a large construction project, namely the for EPC Contractor of the construction of the Eastern Basin Acid Mine Drainage plant for Trans Caledon Tunnel Authority (“TCTA”), wherein Advance was responsible for the identification of small, local suppliers for the project, and the building of a bespoke mentorship programme for each of them.
We are a consulting house which enables the correct decisions to be taken, at the appropriate time – all of which facilitate a company’s long term growth in its supply chain of new, local businesses. The reality is that each beneficiary company is different, requiring differing solutions. Not all entrepreneurs have the same mentoring demands, not all new companies require the same incubation approach. Advance Corporate Advisors is able to design the correct programme for a beneficiary company’s needs.
Advance consultants are able to assist corporates in the building of a bespoke enterprise development response within their organisation, which responds to the demands of the compliance legislation, which makes business sense, and which avoids the pitfalls of, inter alia, fronting, and unsustainable business practices.
Advance is committed to being a business growth facilitator and, in this context, specialises in the development of enterprise development programs, which make a meaningful contribution to the growth of the broader South African economy.
The new focus of the Amended B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice on Supplier development is welcomed by Advance due to our dedication to the growth of South African businesses in a sustainable manner. The opportunities for corporates to contribute meaningfully to localisation, re-industrialisation and job creation are magnified by the regulatory requirement that companies integrate development into their supply chain.
Advance has extensive experience in working to make this happen in a manner that enables good corporate governance. We are also able to manage any Supplier development program of a corporate through our business unit focusing on program management.
